| AOL browsers are pre-set for Compressed Graphics, which may cause some images on many websites to have "lines" in them or appear distorted and fuzzy. Webmasters work too hard not to have their graphics properly viewed. To see the images properly, TURN OFF "COMPRESSED GRAPHICS". On version 8.0 of AOL, click "Settings", on the tool bar in between "Services" and "Favorites" Click Preferences, select Internet Properties (WWW), Click Web Graphics tab, select Never Compress Graphics THEN, click General, and in the section titled "Temporary Internet Files, click DELETE Files, and click OK . Then click OK at the bottom of the page, to memorize your selections. The last delete "empties the cache" and will remove any pages with lines that your computer has saved. New pages will be downloaded without image compression. RETURN TO SITE |
